Once we made the the block “List View” in the Site Editor is persistent, some awkward interactions between block states between canvas / list view revealed themselves. The full details of this issue can be found in this issue on github.

The visual design suffers somewhat – those double outlines are kind of ugly – but this at least serves as an accessible starting point from which we can refine the overall aesthetic.
